Rachel Carson, the author of the book Silent Spring, is an extremely talented and skilled woman. Her book consists of many lessons to be learned and current issues that need to be considered. For example, the idea that one shouldn't take what big corporations say as a fact is important. Next, the usage of pesticides is talked about. Basically, we are all under the impression that pesticides are unharmful and nothing but good when in reality, they do more harm than good! Carson talks about the real truth of DDT and it's harmful effects on everything, including the people, the wildlife, and the environment as a whole.
The title Silent Spring holds significance because it symbolizes a spring with no birds or chirping of birds because of their deaths due to DDT.

Drinking Leads to Liver Problems
Ring of Fire, Beer Pong, and Flip Cup are just three of many drinking games that are played by today's youth. Earlier drinking, it should be noted, leads to definite liver problems and alcohol dependencies.
For example, according to Daily News Central:
"Forty-seven percent of the individuals in the study who had started drinking at 13 or younger became dependent on alcohol within 10 years, the investigators found. In contrast, only 4 percent of those who began drinking at 21 or older met the criteria for alcohol dependence within a decade." (http://health.dailynewscentral.com/content/view/2339/0)
As far as liver problems are concerned, there are definitely problems that may be prevented if one drinks in moderation. According to Patient.co, "Drinking too much alcohol can lead to three types of liver conditions - fatty liver, hepatitis, and cirrhosis." (http://www.patient.co.uk/health/Alcohol-and-Liver-Disease.htm)
Liver problems and alcohol dependencies are 100% preventable if the proper precautions are under taken and if alcohol isn't misused or taken advantage of!

There must be some characteristics that allow you to determine if an individual or object is alive. The following are characteristics that you must look for when determining whether something is living or non-living.
1. Composition of Cells: alive things must be composed of cells, which is why many people think that viruses are non-living.
2. Organization: There must be some level of organization when it boils down to the molecular and cellular aspect.
3. Energy Usage: All organisms must use energy
4. Reproduction: All living things must reproduce in one way or another.

These three blood types require certain diets.
For Type A, it's important to eat foods in their natural state. Eating foods that are fresh and organic is recommended!
For Type B, it's important to stay away from chicken. Eating lamb, mutton, or rabbit is recommended.
For Type O, stomach ulcers and stomach acids are a big problem. For this reason, de glycyrrhizinated licorice is recommended because it helps with healing and rids discomfort.
